Say the hard sentence early

Most leadership pain is deferred pain.

You feel it in the meeting:

“I should challenge that.”

“I should ask for clarity.”

“I should stop that decision from sliding through.”

And you don’t.

So you pay later.

Say the hard sentence early:

• “I don’t think we’re aligned yet.”
• “This will create more work later.”
• “What are we choosing not to do if we do this?”

Hard now beats harder later.
